LOVING VALENTINE by Samantha Young.

“I don’t plan to hurt her. I plan to love her.”

Synopsis

Loving Valentine is a fun, sweet short read written exclusively for my newsletter subscribers.

Micah Green has loved Valentine Fairchild for over ten years; ever since they were kids brought together by Micah’s difficult family life. Too many outside factors have gotten in their way, pushing them further apart over the years. But Micah, no matter how hard he tries, can’t forget her. When he finds a way to see her again, he realizes he’s wasted too much time loving Valentine from afar. Now he just has to convince her to let go of their past so they can move on with their future. Together.

LOVING VALENTINE is a book that I downloaded free of charge through the Newsletter that the writer herself offers, so I dare say that it was a gift from her to her loyal readers.

Well, in my case «not so faithful readers», since this is the first time that I read this writer.

I’m serious.

But at the end of it all, it was a VALENTINE gift for its subscribers and as one of them who had never read it, let me tell you that I LOVED the experience of doing it. In fact, I read this book in two days, including early Valentine’s morning and the crisp morning the day after. I think this is more than proof that I loved Loving Valentine by Samantha Young.

The history is…

This novel is about second chances, stories that I LOVE; I really enjoy that kind of theme.

Loving Valentine is about a couple of two young people who meet under the tense moment of adolescence, practically becoming brother and sister. So, after realizing (individually) that they were in love with each other, the relationship between them becomes very loving and difficult, under the inexperience of not knowing very well what to do and how to handle these feelings.

Then, time passes—that same time that designates everything. And a variety of entertaining and interesting things and situations happen together with well-executed dialogues, beautiful English to understand (especially for someone like me, my native language is Spanish), suitable and well-done descriptions, and an adrenaline-pumping way of telling a love story, turning it into fabulous.

She is…

Valentine is a privileged girl because of her financial position and because of her intelligence. But she does not believe and does not feel that she has been privileged by her parents—the relationship between them is not good since she enters adolescence. So, in the midst of her decisions already made since childhood, she decides to live revealed before them and everything they want for her.

This revelation, despite the fact that his almost brother, «platonic love» and best friend, Micha, agrees with his ideals, it also affects him; especially in the decisions that she makes as she grows up, driven by a youthful momentum that is sometimes overwhelming.

In fact, I think readers may come to judge and support it, both almost with the same intensity.

This protagonist is loving, simple, beautiful and will leave you wanting to continue reading about her.

He is…

Micha is SPECIAL, spectacular, enterprising, fighter and beautiful. He is a character that you adore from minute one, since, in the middle of that dark apartment in neglect that welcomes us to this book, we see him whole and with doubts, vulnerable but strong.

Micha is deeply in love with her Cupid (you’ll see why I mention the word). He suspects that love by her is reciprocal and feels that the opportunities to do something about it are endless. However, he also feels that he should not approach her and the reason is…

Bahhh… You must read Loving Valentine to find out.

Micha is a beautiful character, well executed in his description, someone you will want to keep reading about FOREVER.

Recommended.

Yes! I totally and absolutely recommend Loving Valentine by Samantha Young. This novella made me go find more of the author’s books on Amazon.

And now, in the month of Valentine’s Day, don’t take this book off your reading list. Although, as love is always in the air, you can read it throughout the year. I assure you.
